Murchadh MacSuibhne : ウィキペディア英語版
Murchadh MacSuibhne
Murchadh MacSuibhne was a prominent 13th-century noble. Murchadh was a son of Maol Mhuire an Sparáin, son of Suibhne, eponymous ancestor of the Clann Suibhne. Murchadh led the dispossessed clan pressed into King Hakon IV of Norway's service during King Hakon's 1263 expedition.〔Barrow, ''Kingship and Unity'', pp.111-120.〕 The MacSuibhne were required to surrender hostages to King Hakon as guarantee for their support. Murchadh was granted Arran, however these lands were lost shortly after the Battle of Largs and appears to have fled to Ireland. He was taken prisoner by Domnall Mac Maghnusa in 1265 and was imprisoned by Walter de Burgh, Earl of Ulster and died shortly afterwards.〔Annals of Ulster - 1265〕
